Ok so I’m getting a 55 gallon tank tomorrow, and the first thing I wanna do is set up my fishes enviroment before I put them in there. Hense my question about keeping aquarium plants.
I need to know 1. What type of aquarium plants can go together. 2. What I need to do to make them thrive. and 3. Is there any kind of steriod I can put in my tank to help them as well?
Also throw in any other info. about how your favorite plants, and plants that are easy to take care of but look good!
Thank you, your advice is very much appreciated!!
I know that gold fish, guppies, and all those other fishes need special drops of water to clear the bacteria, but does a betta fish need a diffrent type of water?
I have 2 betta fishes, one female and one male; for the past few days I noticed that a male fish made a bubble nest, and I’m just wondering what can I do to help take care of it for them?
It is a dream fish home.
I wonder how this betta is aparently so calm and not attacking between these fishes.

My husband think it is not a real picture. I mean the fishes there. Not the tank.
But Each globo the betta looks different and so is the enviroment around him.
I am a beginner with tropical fish , but i would like to know what fish would be good to put in. Ideally , i would like different types and sizes , that would be compatible and would be OK in a simillar PH and Temperature.
Thanks
i recognise it… but what exactly is the nitrogen cycle? is it where you leave it to climatise for a week before you put the fishes in?
When Discus fish lay their eggs how many do they usually lay, and is it difficult to raise their fry?
I’m thinking of buying a new tank with mainly just Discus fish…
Thanks
Thanks for the info. Also is it possible to sell the fry to somone after they are bigger and if so where could i sell them I spoke to a number of pet shops and they advised that they do not buy fishes off people?
Update: Was just wandering if you knew of any place within the uk? Thanks
